Chapter 53 of 343

60 1 Cor. 15:50.

60 1 Cor. 15:50.

59Lit., “the son of his love” (τοῦ υἱοῦ τῆς ἀγάπης αὐτοῦ), an adjectival genitive, a semitism like τò ϰϱάτος τῆς δóξης αὐτοῦ in ν. 11 (cf. p. 47, n. 37).

601 Cor. 15:50.

61So, at any rate, 1 Cor. 6:9-10; 15:50; Gal. 5:21. Other Pauline instances of ἡβασɩλεία τοῦ θεοῦ are Rom. 14:17; 1 Cor. 4:20; Col. 4:11 (see p. 180 below); 1 Thess. 2:12; 2 Thess. 1:5; these are more general in their reference. Eph. 5:5 speaks of “the kingdom which is Christ’s and God’s” (τῇ βασɩλείᾳ τοῦ Xϱɩστοῦ ϰαὶ θεοῦ); here the two aspects appear to be conjoined (cf. 2 Tim. 4:1).
