Introduction

Matthew presents Jesus as Israel’s Messiah, son of David and son of Abraham, who fulfills the law and the prophets. Five teaching blocks, beginning with the Sermon on the Mount, shape disciples. The book ends with the risen Lord sending the church to the nations. Read it to see Jesus as King and Teacher.
