Introduction
Genesis opens the Bible with God creating the world, calling Abraham, and forming a family through whom blessing will reach the nations. The book moves from creation and the fall to the flood, the tower of Babel, and the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. Readers watch God keep promises in ordinary and painful family stories. Use this book to remember that history begins with God, not with us, and that faith is learned one generation at a time.
