Ezra

Introduction

Ezra tells of the first return from Babylon, the rebuilding of the altar and temple, and later Ezra’s journey to teach the law. Opposition delays the work, but the prophets Haggai and Zechariah stir the people. The book is about restored worship and a community ordered by Scripture.
