Jonah

Introduction

Jonah is sent to Nineveh, flees, is swallowed, preaches, and then resents the city’s repentance. The book exposes a prophet who wants mercy for himself and judgment for his enemies. God’s last question about the city and the plant is left for the reader to answer.
