Leviticus

Introduction

Leviticus gathers priestly instruction for a holy people living near a holy God. Sacrifices, purity laws, festivals, and the Day of Atonement teach that sin is serious and that God himself provides a way to draw near. The repeated call is “be holy, because I am holy.” Read slowly for the character of God, not only for ritual detail, and notice how later Scripture fulfills these shadows in Christ.
