Article VI. Property And Trustees
Sec. 1. This Church shall be the holding body for all properties acquired by purchase with funds raised locally or otherwise; by gift, alienation or otherwise in any manner whatsoaver: qr by transfer from the Council of the India Mission of the Lutheran Church in America (hereinafter described as the Council) to this Church by ordsr and direction of the now called the Division for World Mission and Ecumenism of the Lutheran Church in America. Such properties shall be registered in the name of The Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church. All property rights are and shall be vested in the Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Sec. 2. The trustees of this Church shall be the president thd vice-president "and the treasurer of the Church. All dotumiants ralating- to and effecting the property of thé Church shall Be takén and stand in the name of tus Church. All dcuments relating to the prop:rties of the Church shall be Bkdclited by the treasurer of the Church and one of the othar trustees fdt and on beialf of the Church, The trustees shall Have no power of management of tne funds or property of the Church.
Article VII. Officers
Sec. 1. The officers of this Church shall be a president, a Vick:ptesident, = secrétary and a treasurer.

Sec. 2. THE PRESIDENT
a. = The president shall be an ordained minister of this Church: with at: least fifteen years of ordained. service, of which fiver years shall be parish service. The provision
relating to the minimum: 'ordained servic of fifteen years, of which five years shall be parish service; shall not apply to ordained missionaries. He shall be a full-time officer, shall be elected to a term of four years and shall take office on June first following his election. If however, the election of a president has not taken place bsfore May thirty-first of the year in which such election should be held, the term of the president shall cease on May thirty-first. the administration shall be conducted as provided in the constitution of the A, E.L. church, Art. X!ll and the newly elected president shall take office within. fifteen days after his election. The president nead not be a delegate to the convention of the A. E. L. Church at the time of his election. He shall be at least 45 years of age. He shall not be eligible for election after he has completed sixty-one years of age nor may he continue in office after he has completed sixty-five years of age. He shall be eligible for reelection provided he has not completed sixty-one years of age at the time -of such election.
b. The procedure for election shall be as follows:
1. At the convention of this Churuh at which the president of the A. E L. Church is to be elected under 'Election of President" in the order of business, the delegates shall give attention to the reading of Timothy 3: 1-7 and Titus 1:56-9 and shall then spend some time in prayer for the guidance of God in the matter before them.
2, Thea shall follow the declaration set forth in the by-laws © of the A.E.L. Church, Art. XII, Sec. 4.
3. The Committee on Nominations and Credentials of the convention shall prepare, prior to the covention, and submit to the Executive Council for scrutiny a list of all ordained ministers of this Church who have had at least fifteen years of ordained service, of which five years shall te parish service, and who will not have completed sixty one years of age by the time of the election of the president. The provision relating to the mintmun:ordained service of fifteen years, of which five years shall be.
parish service, shall not apply to ordained missionaries. The Executive Council shall then present this list to the convention.
4. Each delegate to that convention shall then proceed to nominate by written ballot three ordained ministers whose names have been included in the list mentioned in paragraph 3 above.
6. The names of all Persons so nominated shall be reported to the convention in the order of votes received. Further consideration shall be limited to the highest five in that list.
6. Each dédlegate to the convention shall then indicate on a second written ballot the order of preference which he gives to these five names, marking them five, four, three, two and one respectively. Any ballot not -so marked shall be invalid. [In counting the tellers shall add the numbers assigned to the names and shall report them to the convention beginning with the name racelving the highest total, followed in ordar by those receiving lower totals in sequence. The one receiving the highest total shall be declared president of the A. E. LsChurch.
c. In case of a vacancy in the 'office of president a new president shall be elected by a convention of the AE. L, Church to 'be held within nine months after the vacancy occurred. He shall be elected to the unexpired term according to the procedure laid down in Sec 2. above.
In the interim the vice-president of the Church shall act as president.
Sec. 3. The vice-president of the "A. E. L, Church shall be an ordained minister of this Church and shali be elected by the convention 'from among the ordained ministers of the A. E.L. Church on 'the list of fordained ministers presented tothe convention as provided in Art. Vil. Sec 2. b.3. above,
Sec. 4. The socretary of the A.E. L. Church shall be elected by the convention from the lay persons who are of good standing in a congregation and who have contributed to fhe work of thelr parish and the Suvartha Dhana "Nidhi fund
of the Church as required.in the by-laws of parishes, of synods and of the: AE. L., Church.
Sec. 5. The vice-president and the secretary shall bs elected biennially at a regular convention and shall serve until tha: conclusion of the next regular biennial convention of the Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church.
a. The method of election of the vice-president and the secretary shall be as follows:
1. Under 'Election of Officers' in the order of business after the election of the president, a free ballot shall_be taken from the list mentioned in Sec. 3 above for vicepresident. and for secretary from the lay persons as mentioned in Sec. 4, above.
2. This ballot shall be counted by the Gommittea on Nominations and Credentials of the convention. On the first ballot a three-fourths majority is required for election. If there is no election, the committee shall 'reject all names that are insligible and all that hava received less than five votes. Those names which have received five or more votes shall be placed befora the convention *for further balloting. The election shall continue until one receives a majority of all votes cast. That person shall be declared elected. No person who has been nominated is at liberty to withdraw his namo buat he may place before the convention reasons why, if elagted, he would be compelled to refuse the office.
b. Incase of a vacancy in the office of tha vica-president, or secretary, at its next meeting the Executive Council shall elect the successor in office according tp the following procedure. /
1. Bach member of the Executive Coungil shall nominate by written ballot two persons from the list mentiongd in Sec. 3 above in the cass of vice-president, and in the case of secretary from the persons as mentioned in Sec. 4 above. iN 2 The names of all persons so nominated shall he ropqried Cl tg the, Executive Council in the ofder df yotes rdolved;

3. Each: member of the Executive Council shall then cast a second written ballot for orle of the two names under consideration and the one receiving more votes than the other shall be declared as the vice-presidént or the secretary, as the case may be, of the A.E. L Church dnd shall serve until the conclusion of the next regular biennial convention of the A. E. L, Church.
Sec. 6. The treasurer of-the A. E. L. Church shall be assigned by the Executive Council.
Sec. 7. The recall or dismissal of an officer of this Church and the vacation of his office may be effacted in accordance with the provisions of the by-laws of this Church.
