Article VIII. Appeals
Sec. 1. ORDER FOR APPEALS.
The order for appeals in the work of this body shall be from the decision of a lower body to the next higher body except where otherwise Provided for in the by-laws of the A EL. Church, synod and parish.
Sec. 2. In aji cases of appeals g petition stating clearly the ground of the appeal and accompanied by a Copy of the decijsion against which the apoeal is made shall be filed within one month of the time the decision g Communicated to the party or body concerned, Appeals shall be made as follows: Ohne copy of the appeal shall be sent directly to the higher body to whom the appeal shall be made and one copy to the body against whose action the appeal is being Made. Sec. 3. In cases of appeals agginst actions of a congregational panchayat, they shall.ba referred" to the concerned parish church council; and in casés of appeals against the actions of the parish church council, as found in the constitution for parishes. Art. XI., Sec. 1. and 2, they shall be referred to the field church council. whese decision shall be final and binding.
Sec. 4. In cases of appeals against actions of boards oc synods, such appeals shall be referred to the Exacutiva Council of the A. E. L. Church, whose decision shall be final.
Sec. 5. In cases of appeals against the actions of the Executive Council, the action appealed against shall be reconsidered by the Executive Council at its next meeting, provided such an action is implemented and the appeal is preferred within one month from the date-of communicatiig the action to the party or body concerned.
After reconsideration of the action appealed against, the decision of the Exacutive Council shall be final unless ong third or more of the members of the Executive Council fila an advarse minority report, In such cases, the matter shall go to the Commission of Adjudication, whose decision shall be final.
Sec. 6. Any person who resorts to courts or appeals to external authorities rather than making use of the provision for appeal in the A. E. L. Church and any person who does nqt abide by tha decisions of the field church council, executive committee of Synod, the Executive Council of the A.E, L. Church ar of the Commission of Adjudication where their decisions are final as the case may be, shall ipsofacto forthwith be removed from any elective or appointive membership in the A, E. L. Church lose his eligibitity for any elective or appointive membership in the A.E.L, Chyrch and he.debarred from all voting rights, Such a person may.be restored to all voting rights and eligibility for holding elective or appointive
