What this chapter says
Tozer meditates on divine mercy as the “vast, limitless sea” that sustains every person, believer or not — sanity, provision, protection and life itself all flow from it. He warns against confusing Spirit-led living with mere impulsiveness, insisting that the apostles’ guidance by the Holy Spirit produced order and consistency, not chaotic “lightning changes.” True spirituality, for Tozer, is reasoned and reverent, never an excuse for carelessness, and it begins by receiving God’s abundant mercy soberly and gratefully rather than presuming upon it.
