What this chapter says
Tozer answers Christians who wish they could have heard Christ or the apostles in person, insisting that through Scripture believers still hear Peter’s own voice, undimmed by the centuries. He reflects on Peter’s character — impulsive, quick to act, “first” in almost everything — as proof that God uses ordinary temperaments once yielded to Him. The heart of the chapter is Tozer’s confidence that the Bible carries no expiration date: unlike other ancient writings that feel bound to their own era, every believer who opens Peter’s letter finds it addressed personally to them, fresh as the morning, because the Holy Spirit who inspired it still speaks through it today.
