CHAPTER FIFTY
On Brethren Who Work a Long Distance from the Oratory or Are on a Journey
THE brethren who work at a great distance and cannot come to the oratory at the appointed time—in cases where the Abbot has made a careful determination that this is in fact the situation—should perform the Work of God where they are working, and do so on bended knee with a godly fear. In like manner let those who are sent on a journey not allow the appointed Hours to pass by, but let them say the Office by themselves as best they can and not neglect the duty of divine service.
