పాపులలో ప్రధానుడికి సమృద్ధిగా కలిగిన కృప జాన్ బన్యన్ (1628–1688) రచించిన ఆత్మీయ జీవిత చరిత్ర. యాత్రికుని గమనమును పరిశుద్ధ యుద్ధమును వ్రాసిన బెడ్‌ఫర్డు ప్రసంగికుడు 1666లో తన పాపమును, పశ్చాత్తాపమును, విశ్వాసమును, శోధనను, లేఖన ఓదార్పును, యేసుక్రీస్తు కృపను స్వయముగా విప్పెను. గ్రంథ శీర్షిక 1 తిమోతికి 1:15ను ధ్వనించును — పాపులను రక్షించుటకు క్రీస్తు యేసు లోకములోనికి వచ్చెను; వారిలో ప్రధానుడను నేనే. బన్యన్ హృదయము లేఖనముతో తడిసి, ఆత్మ భారమును క్షమాపణ నిశ్చయమును క్రీస్తు ప్రేమను ఒకే సాక్ష్యముగా చెప్పును.
