HUMAN TOTALITARIANISM AND GOD’S
Daniel 6:26-27
There is a further observation that we must make upon the Way. If the laws of our being and the laws of the universe are the laws of the kingdom, and if the kingdom is the Way, and if that Way is stamped into the nature of things, then the victory is assured. For these laws of the kingdom are self-executing; break them and you get broken automatically.
Then why should we fear alien ways of life? They are doomed to break themselves upon Reality. Take Communism. The issue in the world today is between human totalitarianism and God’s totalitarianism—between materialistic, atheistic Communism and the kingdom of God on earth. But Communism has enacted its laws and imposed them on people and situations, and they have to execute them with all the force they have available. But since those human-made and human-executed laws do not fit Reality, they have a frustrating time in making them work. They will ultimately fail; they are bound to.
The laws of the kingdom are not imposed but exposed out of the heart of Reality. Those laws fit us, and we fit the laws. We are made for each other as the eye is made for light. These laws are self-executing; break them and you get broken—automatically. Those who belong to the kingdom have a decided advantage and a decisive advantage, for the kingdom to which they belong automatically executes its own laws; it breaks the breakers. The dust heaps of the centuries are witness.
My prediction is that Communism will break itself upon the very moral universe that it says does not exist. It says there is no objective morality written into the nature of things. Only that is right that gets you to your goal of Communism, a moral opportunism. That moral opportunism will break it from within. For if you use any means to get you to your goal, you will have to use any means to keep yourself in power. There will be no moral cement to hold it together. It will fall to pieces. Force will be used to hold it, and that force will produce counterforce, and the system will perish.
O Lord, we thank you that your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and of the increase of your government there will be no end. And we belong to it! Amen.
AFFIRMATION FOR THE DAY: I am aligned to Reality, and nothing can stop me as long as I keep that alignment.
