Conclusion
The New Atheists are wrong, therefore, to suppose that there is no good reason to reject their naturalistic atheism in favor of theism. There are profound philosophical questions, not ones that will automatically be dispelled by the forward march of science. In fact, I believe that the forward march of science will make the problems worse instead of better for the naturalist. The onward march of science will discover extensive correlations between physical and mental states but will leave the logico-conceptual distinction between these two categories unchanged.
