About the Author
ELISABETH ELLIOT has been a lifelong student of Scripture and is an articulate writer. Her books Through Gates of Splendor and Shadow of the Almighty tell the story of the life of her first husband, Jim Elliot, and his death with four other missionaries in Ecuador in 1956. In 1969 she married Addison Leitch, of Gordon-Conwell Seminary, and later was widowed a second time. She has been a visiting professor at Gordon-Conwell Seminary in addition to writing numerous other books. She is married to Lars Gren and lives in Magnolia, Massachusetts.
