सध्या यात काय आहे (मराठी अनुवादाची स्थिती)
हा अनुवाद सध्या अपूर्ण (आंशिक) आहे. मॅथ्यू हेन्री यांच्या मूळ इंग्रजी संक्षिप्त भाष्यात बायबलची सर्व 66 पुस्तके, 1,189 अध्याय, 3,571 भाष्य खंड आणि 667,641 शब्द आहेत. या मराठी आवृत्तीत आतापर्यंत पहिल्या 66 पुस्तकांचा — उत्पत्तिपासून प्रकटीकरणपर्यंत — अनुवाद पूर्ण झाला आहे; एकूण 1189 अध्याय आणि 3571 भाष्य खंड. उरलेल्या 0 पुस्तकांचे दुवे, त्यांचा अनुवाद तयार होईपर्यंत, तुम्हाला इंग्रजी आवृत्तीकडे घेऊन जातात, जेणेकरून कोणताही दुवा तुटलेला आढळणार नाही. अनुवाद अनुवाद पूर्ण झाला आहे क्रमाने पुढे जाईल.
प्रताधिकार आणि सार्वजनिक मालकीची (public domain) स्थिती
मॅथ्यू हेन्री यांचे निधन 22 जून 1714 रोजी झाले. 1708 ते 1710 या काळात प्रकाशित झालेले त्यांचे विवरण, आणि येथे पुनरुत्पादित केलेले त्याचे अभिजात संक्षिप्त रूप, हे दोन्ही फार पूर्वीपासून जगभर सार्वजनिक मालकीचे (public domain) आहेत. ते मुक्तपणे वाचता, कॉपी करता, उद्धृत करता, छापता आणि पुनर्वितरित करता येतात.
काय जाणीवपूर्वक वगळले गेले. या आवृत्तीसाठी वापरलेली डिजिटल स्रोत फाइल अनेक पृष्ठांच्या आधुनिक संपादकीय प्रास्ताविक मजकुराने सुरू होते: विसाव्या शतकातील एक प्रस्तावना (foreword), त्या आवृत्तीच्या संपादकाने लिहिलेले हेन्री यांचे एक छोटे चरित्र, आणि त्या संपादकाच्या संक्षेपण-तत्त्वांचे (abridging principles) एक क्रमांकित निवेदन. अशा प्रकारचा संपादकीय मजकूर ही एक आधुनिक रचना आहे आणि, तो ज्या भाष्याची ओळख करून देतो त्याची स्थिती काहीही असो, तो अजूनही प्रताधिकाराखाली असू शकतो.
त्यातील काहीही येथे पुनरुत्पादित केलेले नाही. ती पृष्ठे प्रकाशित डेटामधून पूर्णपणे वगळण्यात आली. या साइटवरील प्रस्तावना UECF.NET ने त्या foreword च्या आधारे नव्हे, तर प्रमाणभूत प्रकाशित चरित्रात्मक स्रोतांच्या आधारे, नव्याने लिहिली आहे.

हेन्री यांच्या मजकुराचा मराठी अनुवादही UECF.NET ने तयार केला आहे — ते त्यांचे स्वतःचे मूळ शब्द नसून त्यांच्या अर्थाचे शक्य तितके प्रामाणिक मराठी रूपांतर आहे. या साइटवर कोठेही हेन्री यांच्या म्हणण्याचा भावानुवाद (paraphrase) केलेला नाही, त्यात भर घातलेली नाही किंवा स्वतःचे भाष्य जोडलेले नाही. स्रोत जेथे मौन आहे, तेथे ही आवृत्तीही मौन आहे.
इंग्रजी मजकूर कसा तयार केला गेला (मूळ स्रोत)
स्रोत म्हणजे संक्षिप्त भाष्याची PDF स्वरूपातील एक डिजिटल आवृत्ती होती, 1,736 पृष्ठांची. तिच्या पृष्ठांत खरा अंतःस्थापित (embedded) मजकूर-स्तर आहे — ही फाइल वर्ड-प्रोसेसरमधून टाइपसेट केलेली होती, स्कॅन केलेली नव्हती — याची खात्री, तिच्यातून कोणताही मजकूर घेण्यापूर्वी, पृष्ठामागून पृष्ठ अशी करण्यात आली. फाइलमध्ये कोठेही स्कॅन केलेले पृष्ठ नसल्याने ऑप्टिकल कॅरेक्टर रेकग्निशनची (OCR) गरज पडली नाही, आणि ते वापरलेही गेले नाही; अशा प्रकल्पांत मूक भ्रष्टतेचा नेहमीचा स्रोत OCR हाच असतो, आणि ते पूर्णपणे टाळल्याने तो धोका नाहीसा होतो.
महत्त्वाचा शोध: मूळ PDF मध्ये शब्द-प्रतिस्थापनाची (word-substitution) एक पद्धतशीर चूक. या मराठी अनुवादावर काम करताना असे आढळले की वापरलेल्या इंग्रजी स्रोत PDF मध्ये — केवळ उत्पत्तिमध्ये नव्हे, तर संपूर्ण 1,736 पृष्ठांच्या दस्तऐवजात — एखाद्या स्वयंचलित समानार्थी-शब्द-फेरबदल (synonym-spinning) प्रक्रियेचे परिणाम दिसतात, जी बहुधा ही PDF या प्रकल्पापर्यंत पोहोचण्यापूर्वीच तिच्यावर झाली असावी. शोधात असे दोन प्रतिस्थापित शब्द सापडले जे वाक्यात अनेकदा निरर्थक ठरतात: "unequaled" (संपूर्ण दस्तऐवजात 125 वेळा, 95 पृष्ठांवर) आणि "villainy" (49 वेळा, 48 पृष्ठांवर). संदर्भावरून हे स्पष्ट आहे की बहुतेक ठिकाणी मूळ शब्द "fallen" (पतित) किंवा "common" (सामान्य) असा असावा. निर्गमच्या अनुवादादरम्यान तिसरा असाच शब्द सापडला: "savors", जो वेगवेगळ्या मूळ शब्दांच्या जागी घातला गेला आहे. अशाच प्रकारचे आणखी शब्द-प्रतिस्थापन संपूर्ण दस्तऐवजात असण्याची शक्यता आहे, जे व्याकरण न बिघडवल्यामुळे ओळखता येत नाही. हा शोध प्रकल्पाच्या मालकाला कळवण्यात आला आहे; इंग्रजी साइटची संपूर्ण तपासणी हे एक वेगळे, मोठे काम आहे आणि सध्या ते या कामाच्या व्याप्तीबाहेर आहे.
ही भ्रष्टता संपूर्ण PDF भर पसरलेली असल्याने, ती प्रत्येक पुस्तकासाठी स्वतंत्रपणे दुरुस्त करावी लागते. मराठी उत्पत्ति अनुवादासाठी खाली सूचीबद्ध केलेल्या 13 ठिकाणी, आणि आता निर्गम अनुवादासाठी 15 ठिकाणी (16 संपादने; एका ठिकाणी शीर्षक आणि मजकूर दोन्ही), मूळ PDF पृष्ठांच्या थेट तपासणीच्या आधारे सर्वात सयुक्तिक मूळ शब्दाचा अंदाज बांधण्यात आला (काही ठिकाणी निश्चितता उच्च आहे, काही ठिकाणी मध्यम किंवा कमी — प्रत्येक ठिकाणी खाली नोंदवले आहे). दोन्ही मराठी हप्त्यांसाठी या दुरुस्त्या अनुवादापूर्वीच इंग्रजी मजकुरावर लागू करण्यात आल्या, म्हणजे अनुवादक-साहाय्यकाला नेहमी दुरुस्त केलेला इंग्रजी मजकूर मिळाला. स्रोतातील दोन आधीच ज्ञात मुद्रणदोष खाली ज्या भावनेने उघडपणे नोंदवले आहेत, त्याच भावनेने हे केले आहे.
मजकूर थेट काढण्यात आला, आणि नंतर स्रोताच्या स्वतःच्या संकेतांना ओळखून त्याची रचना उलगडण्यात आली:
पुस्तकांची शीर्षक-पृष्ठे, CHAPTER n शीर्षके, वचन-मर्यादेने संपणाऱ्या रूपरेषा-नोंदी, आणि

परिणामी रचना प्रत्येक अध्यायासाठी एक डेटा फाइल अशा स्वरूपात लिहिण्यात आली.
हे कसे तपासले गेले (इंग्रजी स्रोत)
- पूर्णता. पार्सरने तयार केलेल्या अध्याय-यादीची तुलना बायबलच्या प्रत्येक पुस्तकाच्या ज्ञात अध्याय-संख्येशी करण्यात आली. सर्व 1,189 अध्याय उपस्थित आहेत, कोणताही दुबार नाही, आणि कोणत्याही पुस्तकाचा कोणताही अध्याय गहाळ नाही.
- रिकामा अध्याय नाही. प्रत्येक अध्यायात किमान एक भाष्य खंड आहे का हे तपासले गेले. प्रत्येकात आहे.
- खंडांदरम्यान काहीही गळलेले नाही. मजकूर स्रोतातून एकाच फेरीत पुन्हा जुळवण्यात आला, जेणेकरून कोणत्याही खंडाने न स्वीकारलेला मजकूर एक उरलेला भाग (remainder) म्हणून दिसून आला असता. पुन्हा जुळवलेल्या मजकुराची शब्दसंख्या स्रोताशी ताडून पाहण्यात आली.
- शीर्षकांची अखंडता. स्रोतातील खंड-शीर्षकासारखी दिसणारी प्रत्येक ओळ तपासण्यात आली, बिघडलेल्या ओळींसह, जेणेकरून एखादे खराब झालेले शीर्षक त्याखालील खंड मूकपणे गिळून टाकू शकणार नाही.
- मजकुराची गुणवत्ता आणि नमुना-तपासणी. काढलेल्या मजकुराची, सदोष उताऱ्यात नेहमी आढळणाऱ्या दोषांसाठी — तुटलेले शब्द, दुबार मजकूर, गद्यात घुसलेली पृष्ठ-शीर्षके व तळटीपा — पाहणी करण्यात आली. त्या दृष्टीने स्रोत स्वच्छ निघाला, आणि हेन्री यांच्या शब्दयोजनेवर कोणत्याही स्वयंचलित “दुरुस्त्या” लागू करण्यात आल्या नाहीत. संपूर्ण भाष्यातील प्रातिनिधिक उताऱ्यांची स्रोताशी पृष्ठामागून पृष्ठ अशी तुलना करण्यात आली.
वर सांगितलेली शब्द-प्रतिस्थापनाची चूक या तपासण्यांत पकडली गेली नाही, कारण ती कोणतीही रचना, संख्या किंवा खंड-सीमा बिघडवत नाही — केवळ वाक्यातील एक शब्द बदलते. ती या मराठी अनुवादावरील कामादरम्यान पकडली गेली.
उत्पत्तिच्या मराठी अनुवादात केलेल्या दुरुस्त्या
खाली ती 13 ठिकाणे आहेत जेथे वर सांगितलेल्या शब्द-प्रतिस्थापनाच्या चुकीमुळे इंग्रजी स्रोतात निरर्थक मजकूर आढळला, आणि त्याऐवजी सर्वात सयुक्तिक पुनर्रचनेनुसार अनुवाद करण्यात आला:

निर्गमच्या इंग्रजी स्रोत मजकुरात त्याच शब्द-प्रतिस्थापनाच्या चुकीची खालील 15 ठिकाणे आढळली. अनुवादापूर्वीच ती इंग्रजी मजकुरात दुरुस्त करण्यात आली, आणि प्रत्येक ठिकाणी स्वीकारलेली पुनर्रचना व तिची निश्चितता येथे नोंदवली आहे:

लेवीयच्या अनुवादात लावलेल्या स्रोत-दुरुस्त्या
लेवीयमध्ये त्याच दोषाची 11 ठिकाणे आढळली (एकूण 24 दुरुस्त्या). येथे "unequaled" हा शब्द जवळजवळ सर्वत्र "unclean" / "uncleanness" (अशुद्ध / अशुद्धता) च्या जागी आला आहे — शुद्ध-अशुद्धतेविषयीचे अध्याय 5, 11–15 — जे संदर्भावरून स्पष्ट आहे. या दुरुस्त्याही अनुवादापूर्वी इंग्रजी स्रोत-मजकुरात करण्यात आल्या:

गणनेच्या अनुवादात लावलेल्या स्रोत-दुरुस्त्या
गणनेमध्येही त्याच दोषाची नोंद झाली (एकूण 17 दुरुस्त्या). येथे "unequaled" हा शब्द "unclean" (अशुद्ध), "inclined / inclinations" (कल) आणि "enclosed" (बंदिस्त) च्या जागी आला आहे; "villainy" एकदा "fallen" च्या जागी आणि "savors" एकदा "Savior's" च्या जागी. या पुस्तकात एक नवा सूचक शब्दही आढळला — "excellencies", जो "excels" / "excellent" च्या जागी आला आहे (अध्याय 12 आणि 24). खालील पहिल्या तेरा दुरुस्त्या अनुवादापूर्वी इंग्रजी स्रोत-मजकुरात करण्यात आल्या; "excellencies" ची चार ठिकाणे अनुवादानंतर लक्षात आली — त्यांचा अनुवाद आधीच अर्थानुसार झाला होता आणि नंतर इंग्रजी मजकूर त्याच्याशी जुळवण्यात आला:

हा मराठी अनुवाद कसा तयार केला गेला
- अनुवाद पद्धती. हा अनुवाद ऑक्टोबर 2026 मध्ये, दुरुस्त केलेल्या इंग्रजी स्रोत मजकुरावरून करण्यात आला. उत्पत्तिच्या सर्व 50 अध्यायांचा भाष्य-मजकूर सुमारे 7,000 शब्दांच्या 6 समांतर उताऱ्यांत विभागून Claude या एआय अनुवाद-साहाय्यकाकडून अनुवादित करण्यात आला. त्यानंतर निर्गमचे सर्व 40 अध्याय त्याच पद्धतीने, 4 समांतर उताऱ्यांत विभागून, वर नोंदवलेल्या दुरुस्त्या आधीच लागू केलेल्या इंग्रजी मजकुरावरून अनुवादित करण्यात आले, आणि त्यांच्यावरही तीच सुसंगतता-फेरी (खाली पाहा) करण्यात आली. लेवीयचे 27 अध्यायही अगदी याच पद्धतीने (2 उताऱ्यांत, आधीच दुरुस्त केलेल्या इंग्रजी मजकुरावरून, त्याच सुसंगतता-फेरीसह) अनुवादित करण्यात आले. गणनेचे 36 अध्यायही याच पद्धतीने (3 उताऱ्यांत, आधीच दुरुस्त केलेल्या इंग्रजी मजकुरावरून, त्याच सुसंगतता-फेरीसह) अनुवादित करण्यात आले. त्यामुळे हा यंत्रसाहाय्यित अनुवाद आहे आणि मराठी भाषक वाचकाकडून त्याची तपासणी होणे बाकी आहे.
- चौथ्या पुस्तकानंतर (गणना). अनुवादपासून प्रकटीकरणपर्यंतची पुस्तके याच पद्धतीने — प्रत्येक पुस्तकाचे अनेक समांतर उतारे करून, आधीच दुरुस्त केलेल्या इंग्रजी मजकुरावरून, त्याच सुसंगतता-फेरीसह — अनुवादित करण्यात आली. प्रत्येक पुस्तकातील स्रोत-दुरुस्त्या खाली नोंदवल्या आहेत.

- सुसंगतता-तपासणी. प्रत्येक पुस्तकानंतर एका सुसंगतता-फेरीत सर्व उताऱ्यांतील परिभाषा एकरूप करण्यात आली — उदाहरणार्थ, “Providence” सर्वत्र “ईश्वरी व्यवस्था” असे भाषांतरित केले आहे; सर्व अंक पाश्चात्त्य (0–9) ठेवले आहेत; मजकुरातील पवित्र शास्त्राचे संदर्भ पूर्ण मराठी पुस्तकनावानंतर अध्याय:वचन अशा स्वरूपात लिहिले आहेत; आणि त्याच पुस्तकातील अंतर्गत परस्परसंदर्भ “अध्याय N:V” असे लिहिले आहेत. प्रत्येक खंडाचे वचन-संदर्भ इंग्रजीशी ताडून तपासण्यात आले. ही फेरी उत्पत्तिपासून प्रकटीकरणपर्यंतच्या सर्व 66 पुस्तकांवर करण्यात आली.
- अनुवाद न झालेली पुस्तके. उरलेली 0 पुस्तके मराठीत अनुवादित होईपर्यंत त्यांचे दुवे थेट इंग्रजी आवृत्तीकडे नेतात, जेणेकरून कोणताही दुवा तुटलेला आढळणार नाही.
तांत्रिकदृष्ट्या, इंग्रजी आवृत्तीप्रमाणेच, हेही एक साधे स्थिर (static) वेब अ‍ॅप्लिकेशन आहे: HTML, CSS आणि JavaScript, ज्यात भाष्य प्रत्येक अध्यायासाठी एका छोट्या JSON फाइलमध्ये साठवलेले आहे, आणि मराठी मजकुरावर आधारित स्वतःची पूर्वनिर्मित शोध-अनुक्रमणिका (search index) आहे. सर्व्हरवर काहीही चालत नाही — PHP नाही, डेटाबेस नाही, Node.js नाही — त्यामुळे ही साइट कोणत्याही सामान्य वेब होस्टवरून चालेल, आणि तुम्ही प्रत्यक्ष वाचत असलेला अध्यायच ती लोड करते. शोध पूर्णपणे तुमच्या स्वतःच्या ब्राउझरमध्येच होतो. बुकमार्क आणि तुमच्या उजळ/गडद रूपाच्या व अक्षर-आकाराच्या निवडी तुमच्या ब्राउझरच्या स्वतःच्या स्थानिक साठवणीत (local storage) जतन केल्या जातात; त्या तुमच्या उपकरणाबाहेर कधीही जात नाहीत, आणि ही साइट कोणतीही कुकी ठेवत नाही व कोणताही मागोवा (tracking) घेत नाही. ही आवृत्ती UECF.NET च्या इतर बायबल अ‍ॅप्लिकेशनांच्या — NKJV Chronological Study Bible आणि KJV Study Bible यांच्या — रचनेचे व नेव्हिगेशनचे अनुसरण करते.
