I happily dedicate this book to sacred activists everywhere—and especially the young, who face such a challenging future and deserve deep wisdom from the past (and present) to succeed. May you drink deeply from the wisdom of Thomas Aquinas and, like him, be bold, courageous and creative in thought, spirit, and action.
And to my mentor and brother, Père Marie-Dominique Chenu, OP, student and scholar of Thomas Aquinas, who named the tradition of “creation spirituality” that opened doors for so many, and who frequently wrote me signing off with the message “we are brothers in communion of thought.”
