About Roberts Liardon

Roberts Liardon was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma — the first male child born at Oral Roberts University, in whose founder’s honor he was named. He delivered his first public address at thirteen and published his first book, I Saw Heaven, at seventeen. He has since written more than four dozen Christian books, most notably the God’s Generals series — biographical volumes chronicling the lives of noted revivalists, healing evangelists and charismatic leaders of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In 1990 he founded Embassy Christian Center in Orange County, California, and he also established the Reformers and Revivalists Historical Museum to preserve materials on the history of Christian revival movements.

UECF.NET currently hosts a book-profile page for God’s Generals: The Revivalists (2008), the third volume in the series, which traces revival history from the eighteenth-century Wesleyan awakening to Billy Graham’s twentieth-century crusades. As with other modern, copyrighted titles in the UECF.NET library (see Jonathan Edwards: A Life, below), the book is presented as bibliographic information, an original synopsis and a chapter list rather than the full text.
