UECF Mobile App Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

United Evangelical Christian Fellowship (UECF) is a non-denominational, non-profit Christian ministry serving the Telugu-speaking community in Westfield, New Jersey and online at uecf.net. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information of everyone who uses our ministry resources.

This Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled when you use the UECF Mobile App (the "App") for Android, published by United Evangelical Christian Fellowship, and when you visit UECF.NET. By using the App or the website, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App or the website.

2. Information We Collect

The UECF Mobile App does not require users to create an account and does not directly collect or sell personal information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, financial information, contacts, or other personally identifiable information, except where information is voluntarily provided by the user through a feature or service described below.

2.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily

If you choose to contact UECF — for example, by emailing us, calling the church office, or filling out a form linked from the App or website — you may voluntarily provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, or the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond to you and to carry out the ministry purpose for which it was provided.

2.2 Technical and Device Information

Like virtually all apps distributed through the Google Play Store, the App may generate limited technical information that is necessary for it to run and be delivered to your device, such as device or OS type, app version, language settings, and general diagnostic or crash information. This information is generated by the Android operating system, Google Play, and standard web server logs rather than being actively collected by UECF to identify or track you individually.

2.3 Usage Information

The App does not use dedicated advertising or marketing analytics software to build user profiles or track your activity across other apps or websites. Aggregate, non-identifying statistics (such as install counts or crash reports) may be made available to us through the Google Play Console, which is Google's standard reporting tool for all apps distributed on Google Play.

2.4 Information Collected Through Third-Party Services

Certain features of the App rely on third-party services described in Section 5 (Third-Party Services & Links), such as YouTube and Google Play Services. Those services may collect information under their own privacy policies when you use the related feature.

2.5 Information Collected Through Embedded Website Content

Portions of the App may display pages from UECF.NET inside the App. See Section 6 (WebView & Website Content) for details on the limited technical information this can involve.

3. How We Use Information

Any information handled by the App or website, as described above, may be used to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality;
• Deliver Christian resources, Bible content, church information, sermons, videos, events, and other ministry-related content;
• Respond to inquiries or requests you send to UECF;
• Improve the App's performance, reliability, and usability;
• Maintain the security of the App and prevent misuse or abuse; and
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use information handled by the App to build advertising profiles or to sell to third parties.

4. Advertising

The UECF Mobile App is a non-profit, ad-free application. We do not use AdMob or any other advertising network to display advertisements within the App, and the App does not show personalized or interest-based ads.

We do not sell, rent, or trade users' personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services & External Links

The App may contain links to, or integrations with, the following external services. Each operates under its own privacy policy, and UECF is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of these third parties.

UECF does not currently use AdMob, third-party advertising networks, or third-party marketing analytics SDKs within the App. If UECF adds a new third-party service that collects or processes user data in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to disclose it before that service is enabled.

6. WebView & Website Content

Certain portions of the UECF Mobile App may display content hosted on the UECF website (uecf.net) or other authorized external services, using a WebView or similar in-app browser component. When this occurs, standard technical information necessary to deliver that content — such as IP address, browser or device information, and web server access logs — may be processed by our web hosting provider, in the same way it would be if you visited the website directly in a browser.

If UECF later adds website analytics, cookies, or additional third-party embedded content that collects information, this section will be updated to disclose that use before it takes effect.

7. Data Sharing

UECF does not sell or rent users' personal information. Information may only be disclosed when:

• Required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
• Necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, UECF, or the public;
• Necessary to provide a service you have specifically requested (for example, forwarding a message you sent us to the appropriate church contact); or
• Processed by an accurately disclosed third-party service used by the App, as described in Section 5.

8. Data Security

UECF uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information described in this Privacy Policy from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. While we take reasonable steps to protect information, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Because the App does not require account creation and does not directly collect personal data as part of normal use, there is generally no App-held personal data to retain. Where you have voluntarily submitted information to UECF — for example, through an email, phone call, or contact form reached from the App or website — we retain that information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and to maintain appropriate ministry and administrative records, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Data Deletion Request

If you would like to request deletion of personal information you have voluntarily submitted to UECF, please contact us using the details below and let us know what you would like removed. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable time.

10. Children's Privacy

The UECF Mobile App is intended for a general audience and is not directed specifically at children. While some content (such as Sunday School materials) is family-oriented, the App as a whole is intended to be used by, or under the guidance of, a parent or guardian for younger users.

UECF does not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental or guardian consent where required by applicable law, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we become aware that a child has provided personal information without the appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information. A parent or guardian who believes their child has provided personal information to us may contact us using the details in Section 13 to request its removal.

11. User Rights and Choices

You may contact UECF at any time to request:

• Access to personal information you have voluntarily provided to us;
• Correction of inaccurate information we hold about you;
• Deletion of personal information you have voluntarily provided to us, as described in Section 9; and
• General information about how we handle applicable personal data.

We will make reasonable efforts to honor verified requests consistent with our recordkeeping obligations and the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

UECF may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, the website, or applicable law. When we make updates, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App or website after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
