What this book is
The Evidence Bible: Irrefutable Evidence for the Thinking Mind is a King James Version Bible compiled by evangelist Ray Comfort and published by Bridge-Logos Publishers in 2002. Rather than a verse-by-verse academic commentary, it is built as a witnessing tool: bold and shaded verses mark passages recommended for sharing your faith, and thousands of notes — drawn from apologetics, science, history and quotations from figures such as Charles Spurgeon, John MacArthur, George Whitefield, D. L. Moody, John Wesley, Billy Graham and many others — answer common objections and questions right where they arise in the text.
This pocket edition contains Psalms, Proverbs, and the entire New Testament, Matthew through Revelation — complete, all 11,333 verses.
Ray Comfort
Ray Comfort is a New Zealand–born Christian evangelist, author and co-founder (with actor Kirk Cameron) of Living Waters and The Way of the Master — an evangelism ministry whose name and “WDJD” (Mark 16:15) mark appears on the book’s own cover. He has written more than 80 books on evangelism and apologetics and produced numerous films on sharing the Christian faith.
How the Bible text is organised
Every book in this edition follows the ordinary King James Version chapter and verse numbering. Within each chapter you will find:
- The Bible text itself — every verse, numbered, printed continuously as it is in a normal Bible.
- Ray Comfort’s notes — evangelistic comments, answers to objections, and quotations, each tied to the specific verse or verse range it accompanies wherever the source marks that connection, and listed below the chapter text in this web edition rather than crowded into the margin.
Not every verse has an accompanying note — the source book comments where the compiler chose to, not on every verse — and this edition reflects that exactly. No note has been invented, and no verse’s notes have been merged or reworded.
How to navigate
- Contents. The home page lists Psalms, Proverbs and all 27 New Testament books, grouped by type (Gospels, Pauline Epistles, General Epistles, and so on). Choosing a book shows its chapters.
- Book and chapter pickers. The two dropdown menus in the toolbar move you anywhere in the Bible in two clicks.
- Go to a reference. Type something like
John 3:16,Psalm 23orMatt 5into the “Go to” box and press Enter. The page opens at that exact verse. - Previous and next. Every chapter has “← Previous” and “Next →” links, running straight through from Psalm 1 to Revelation 22 within this edition’s own book order. On a keyboard, [ and ] do the same.
- Cross-references. Scripture references inside Ray Comfort’s notes are linked to that passage elsewhere in this edition, so you can follow a reference straight to the verse.
- On a phone the contents open as a panel from the bottom of the screen, and a bar along the bottom gives you Books, Previous, Search, Next and Introduction.
How to search
Press Ctrl+K (or ⌘+K), tap Search this Bible, or simply press /. Every verse and every note is indexed, and the search runs in your own browser — nothing you type is sent anywhere.

The filter buttons narrow results to a Bible reference, Notes only, a Book, or note Headings (the short essay titles scattered through the book, such as “Evolution” or “The Resurrection”) only. Each result shows the reference and a short excerpt with your search words highlighted.
Bookmarks, copying and printing
- Bookmarks. The button on any chapter saves that place. Bookmarks are listed under the Bookmarks tab in the contents panel and are kept in your own browser between visits — they are not sent to any server, and will not follow you to a different device.
- Copy chapter / verse link. Copies the chapter text as clean plain text, or a direct web address that opens exactly this chapter or verse for anyone you send it to. Tap a verse number to copy a direct link to that verse.
- Print. The print button produces a clean printed page: navigation, buttons and panels are removed and only the Bible text and notes are printed.
Reading comfort
Use A− and A+ to set the text size, and the button to switch between light and dark mode. Both choices are remembered in your browser for next time.

This is a faithful transcription of the King James Version text and Ray Comfort’s notes exactly as printed in the source. Nothing has been paraphrased, abridged, summarised or supplemented, and no wording is machine-generated. Full details of how the text was extracted, checked, and the one correction that was made, are recorded on the About page.
