About this audiobook

The Search After Reality is a short 1925 work by the Indian Christian evangelist Sadhu Sundar Singh, translated into English from his original Urdu manuscript by the Rev. T. E. Riddle of the New Zealand Presbyterian Mission, Kharar, Punjab. In it, Sundar Singh — who grew up in a Sikh family and studied Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam closely before his own conversion to Christ — sets out, in his own words, "a few of their fundamental principles," and then presents the case for Christ as the living Reality all four traditions are reaching toward. The book is in the public domain.

This UECF.NET edition presents the complete text of the book as a chapter-by-chapter audiobook, narrated by Google Cloud Text-to-Speech HD voices (en-US-Chirp3-HD-Enceladus for English and te-IN-Chirp3-HD-Schedar for Telugu), alongside a full transcript in both languages and a faithful Telugu translation prepared for this edition.

Source edition: digitized from the Internet Archive copy of The Search After Reality (Sadhu Sundar Singh, 1925; Internet Archive identifier in.ernet.dli.2015.188669). The final paragraph of Chapter V, section vii ("Man's Final Destination") ends mid-sentence in the scanned source available to us — this matches the source exactly rather than an editorial omission; if a complete final page becomes available we will update this edition. UECF.NET is not the original publisher of this 1925 work and makes no such claim; this page is an independent audiobook edition prepared from a public-domain text for free devotional listening.
