in Mark 13:11, the Lord said, "It is not you who are speaking, but the Holy Spirit." These verses indicate that the Father, the Spirit, and the Son, the Man-Savior, are one. When the Father gives utterance, this means that the Spirit and the Son give utterance.
HATED BY ALL BECAUSE OF HIS NAME
In Luke 21:16 and 17 the Lord goes on to say, "And you will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death; and you will be hated by all because of My name." Here we see that even family members will cause others in the family to be put to death because of their faithfulness to the Lord Jesus. The Lord's word here is a fulfillment of His word in 12:52 and 53: "From now on there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against the mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-inlaw against the mother-in-law." Throughout the centuries many families have been divided dur ing times of persecution.
