About this facsimile

The 1860 volume survives only as a scanned book, and its Telugu is set in nineteenth-century types whose letterforms differ considerably from modern Telugu. Rather than run optical character recognition and risk introducing errors into scripture, every page is reproduced here as a high-resolution image of the original printing. Nothing has been re-typeset, corrected or transcribed.

Navigation, contents and search are built from the printed running heads and the book’s own index, so you can move by book, chapter or printed page number.

Note on the source scan

The source PDF contains 320 exposures for 312 physical leaves: eight leaves were photographed twice during scanning. The duplicates are identified below and are omitted from the reading sequence, so each printed page appears exactly once. Printed page numbers run continuously from 1 to 310.
