Since 1985 LifeGuide® Bible Studies have provided solid inductive Bible study content with field-tested questions that get groups talking—making for a one-of-a-kind Bible study experience. This series has more than 120 titles on Old and New Testament books, character studies, and topical studies. IVP’s LifeGuide Finder is a great tool for searching for your next study topic: https://ivpress.com/lifeguides/lifeguide-finder.

Here are some ideas to get you started.

BIBLE BOOKS

An in-depth study of a Bible book is one of the richest experiences you could have in opening up the riches of Scripture. Many groups begin with a Gospel such as Mark or John. These guides are divided into two parts so that if twenty or twenty-six weeks feels like too much to do at once, the group can feel free to do half of the studies and take a break with another topic.

A shorter letter such as Philippians or Ephesians is also a great way to start. Shorter Old Testament studies include Ruth, Esther, and Job.

TOPICAL SERIES

Here are a few ideas of short series you might put together to cover a year of curriculum on a theme.

Christian Formation: Christian Beliefs (12 studies by Stephen D. Eyre), Christian Character (12 studies by Andrea Sterk & Peter Scazzero), Christian Disciplines (12 studies by Andrea Sterk & Peter Scazzero), Evangelism (12 studies by Rebecca Pippert & Ruth Siemens).

Building Community: Christian Community (10 studies by Rob Suggs), Friendship (10 studies by Carolyn Nystrom), Spiritual Gifts (8 studies by R. Paul Stevens), Loving Justice (12 studies by Bob and Carol Hunter).
