An artist’s impression of how Muller’s homes looked a hundred years ago. A resident in nearby Horfield said, 'Whenever I feel doubts about the Living God creeping into my mind, I get up and look through the night at the many windows lit up on Ashley Down, and they gleam out through the darkness as stars in the sky’.
The land in the background, to the west of the five buildings, is now the site of Gloucestershire County Cricket ground. The area to the north and south is built upon; but 'number three’ house in the foreground (where Muller died) still commands an unbroken view eastward.
