Introduction

Jesus gave a command: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” — Mark 16:15 KJV

Adoniram Judson obeyed—and it cost him everything.

He lost his freedom.

He lost his family.

He lost his strength.

But he never lost his faith.

Thrown into a filthy prison and surrounded by death, Judson discovered that Christ was more than enough.

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” — Philippians 1:21 KJV

This book is the story of a man who stepped into his Lion’s Den and found the presence and power of Jesus Christ.

His story will challenge you.

His faith will stir you.

And his surrender will call you closer to Christ.
