The original book

According to Promise, or, The Lord's Method of Dealing with His Chosen People, was written by Charles Haddon Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892), the English Baptist preacher known as the "Prince of Preachers." It was first published in 1900, after Spurgeon's death, by Passmore & Alexander as part of the "Gospel Hour" series compiled from his sermons and writings. The digitised text used as the basis for this study companion is a scan of the copy held by the Princeton Theological Seminary Library, made available by the Internet Archive at archive.org/details/accordingtopro00spur. The book contains 20 chapters across 128 pages.

Public-domain status: Spurgeon died in 1892; this work was first published in 1900. Under U.S. copyright law, works published before 1929 are in the public domain, and the Internet Archive/Princeton Theological Seminary Library scan is catalogued with no known copyright restrictions. The text may be freely read, copied, and shared.
