About this book

With Christ in the School of Prayer by Andrew Murray

With Christ in the School of Prayer is one of the best-known devotional works of the South African pastor and writer Andrew Murray (1828–1917), first published in 1885 and issued in this revised form by Fleming H. Revell Company in 1897. Cast as thirty-one short “lessons” drawn from the teaching of Christ and His apostles on prayer — from “Lord, teach us to pray” to “Pray without ceasing” — each lesson opens with a passage of Scripture, unfolds Murray's meditation on it, and closes with a written prayer. The book ends with a study of George Müller of Bristol as a living witness to answered prayer. This UECF.NET web edition follows the standard public-domain text of the 1897 Revell edition and preserves its lessons, headings, Scripture citations, and wording, with obvious OCR/transcription slips corrected.

The text is reproduced here from the public-domain edition digitized by the Christian Classics Ethereal Library and cross-checked against the Internet Archive / LibriVox edition, hand-corrected for obvious scanning errors.
