To whoever this may concern,

I am writing on behalf of Sonali Koduri regarding her work/volunteering at the United Evangelical Christian Fellowship (UECF), a Non-Denominational Indian Christian Church. Sonali has been a member of UECF since 2007, and she has taught several Sunday School classes and participated in many church activities, inside and outside of church. During this time, I have gotten to know Sonali quite well and seen her grow, and can thoroughly vouch for her character and abilities.

Sonali is a pleasure to work with because her pleasant and caring attitude can make nearly any activity or community work seem personal. She usually became the leader of our youth group projects and always handled the position fairly by making sure everyone had equal amounts of work that they enjoyed. In Sunday School classes, if we had a child behaving inappropriately or crying, rather than getting upset, Sonali would make sure to quiet the child nicely and help them enjoy the activity and learn the lesson.

In youth group, Sonali always took the initiative to make sure she participated someway in the group activities. She contributed largely by singing as well as performing skits. Due to her love of art and determination to spread her passion, Sonali organized a church event that taught children the importance of understanding and appreciating art. Although Sonali is graduating this year, the excitement and good memories she put into the children has given the younger members (as well as the youth group) the passion to want to continue volunteering.

Sonali is also willing to work on areas she feels she could improve upon. She realized quickly during our VBS (Vacation Bible School) event that her fear of performing was holding her back from showing her talents and praising God, so she worked diligently to adjust to performing in front of large audiences. Sonali has improved so much that she teaches the young children dances as an example for future classes, and is able to perform in any setting, church or nursing home.

Without a doubt, I confidently recommend Sonali. As a dedicated and creative volunteer and an all-around great person, I know that she will make great strides in whatever setting she’s put into. The growth Sonali has shown from a young seven-year old into a mature sixteen-year old is remarkable, and I wish her luck in all her future endeavors.
