As you are waiting anxiously to hear the news about relocation of UECF, I got some updates from Pastor Ravinder today.
As discussed in the last Board meeting, Pastor Ravinder explored the possibility at 4 other churches by contacting the respective pastors. Here is the status on these churches:
Church at Metuchen:
The facility is already in use by Korean congregation on Sunday evenings. Hence this is ruled out.
Church at Woodbridge:
As their Orchestra team meets on Sunday evenings, Church facility is not available to us.
Christ Church, Piscataway:
Main sanctuary is not available. Chapel is available which can accommodate 100 people.
Room for Sunday School is also available.
Edison Wesley Church :
Sanctuary is available. Accommodates 200 people. Fellowship Hall is also available.
Pastor Patricia was given all the details about UECF and the rent we pay at present.
She will discuss this with their trustees and inform Pastor Ravinder about the outcome.
New Dover United Methodist Church, Edison (NDUMC):
Korean congregation also applied for the church facility to conduct their worship services and offered to pay $200 per week.
UECF having an edge with “Good Will”, there is a possibility to win this competition by offering $150 per week.
Considering its stragetic location and other facilities at NDUMC, I request all the members to give it a thought and let me know your ideas whether we can afford to pay $150 per week.
Appreiciate if you could reply to me latest by Friday (2/7/03), so that Pastor Costello will be informed accordingly.
