Leader 2: The second candle of Advent is the Candle of Peace. It is sometimes called the Bethlehem Candle to remind us of the place in which preparations were made to receive and cradle the Christ child.

Leader 1: Peace is a gift that we must be prepared for. God gives us the gift of Peace when we turn to Him in faith.

Leader 2: The prophet Isaiah calls Christ "The Prince of Peace." Through John the Baptist and all the other prophets, God asks us to prepare our hearts so that he may come in.

Leader 1: Our hope is in God, and in his son Jesus Christ. Our peace is found in him. We light this candle today to remind us that He brings peace to all who trust in Him. (Light the Second Candle)

People: Loving God, thank you for the peace you give us through Jesus. Help us prepare our hearts to receive Him. Bless our worship. Guide us in all that we say and do. We ask it in the name of the one born in Bethlehem. Amen!

TBQ Report 2025–26 Season – Meet 2

We give heartfelt thanks to God for graciously blessing the second Teen Bible Quiz (TBQ) meet, held yesterday at Assembly of God Church in Metuchen. It was a joy to witness our UECF youth participate with enthusiasm, fellowship, and a spirit of dedication to God’s Word.

As many of you know, TBQ is organized into three competitive leagues: Championship, Contender, and Experience (XP5). While academic commitments ,scheduling conflicts and sickness prevented a few of our students from attending, we remain grateful for their perseverance and pray that, by God’s grace, all of our children will be able to join us for Meet 3 on January 17th. We look forward to seeing our full team united, energized, and ready to compete together.

Even with a reduced team, our youth delivered remarkable performances:

• The XP5 team secured first place.
• One of our Championship teams earned second place.
• In the XP5 Division One, one of our students achieved first place.
• In the Championship Division, two of our youth placed second and fourth.

These accomplishments testify not only to their diligence and commitment but also to God’s faithfulness in guiding and strengthening them.

We are incredibly proud of each child who participated and deeply thankful to the parents, mentors, and volunteers who continue to support this ministry with prayer, encouragement, and service. May this season be filled with learning, fellowship, and spiritual growth as our youth continue to treasure God’s Word in their hearts and live it out in their daily lives.

Note: Both Sahil and Viraj were unable to join the event due to scheduling conflicts and Jairus due to sickness. Samrudh represented his team faithfully on his own, and we look forward to having the full team together for the next meet.
