Leader: In a world of violence and strife, God calls us to work actively to restore peace and harmony.

People: We have gathered in this pace because we yearn for peace and freedom from strife. Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Today we draw close to you.

Leader: In a world where people are excluded and their personhood diminished because of their gender, race, difference and beliefs, God promises us life, abundant life.

People: We have gathered in this place because in Christ all barriers are broken and we yearn for full and abundant lives. You call to us, O Lord, and we have heard your call. Draw near to us, O God, as we draw near to you.
