Gen 24: 1 The Lord has blessed Abraham in (Every way/ all things)

  • Why God has blessed Abraham in Every way?
  • Did God bless your families like Abraham?
  • If not, what is the reason? Why did God not bless our families like Abraham?
  • The God wants to bless you similarly.
  • He wants to bless you more.
  • Why are we not getting blessing from God?

Reasons for Abraham Blessing

  1. Trusted God (Gen 12:1-4).
  2. Obeyed God(Gen22:1-10)
  3. Feared God(Gen22:12)
  4. Friend of God (II Chron. 20:7; Isa 41:8; James 2:23).

Trusted God(Gen 12:1-4)

  • Abraham's father was a maker of idols.
  • Abraham took a stand against idols in his youth.
  • Abraham is a man who doesn't even know who Jehovah is.
  • And yet the Lord appears before him and tells him.
  • Abraham was willing to listen to God and obeyed Him.
  • Abraham never doubted the Lord but placed his trust in Him.
  • He set out to do what the Lord had commanded.
  • God did not tell about all the details of his plan.
  • When God blesses us, He does not always tell us in an advance what is going to happen.
  • He asks us to trust Him and to believe that He will guide and perfect us.

Obeyed God(Gen22:1-10)

The Timing of Abraham’s Obedience

  • He woke up early the next day.
  • God never told him when to do this.
  • Abraham: “I know what God wants me to do, so I’m going to do it”.
  • Abraham’s obedience was immediate.
  • Delayed obedience is disobedience.
  • If God has commanded, don’t sit around and wonder. Just obey!
