In the fourteen years of his involvement in the politics of the faction ridden District, he was responsible for many murders, riots and criminal intimidation, booth capturing during elections and other crimes against the state and its people. Imprisoned a number of times, he nevertheless wielded power from prison, having terrorized the police force too even his family did not escape his unpredictable and irrational temper.

The years of living life dangerously had however taken an immense toll on Michael's psyche. He became an alcoholic and a drug abuser with murderous rages and erratic mood swings.
His family feared him and his daughter wrote home from her school that she would commit suicide but no amount of tears or entreaties touched his hardened heart. He took irrational decisions and his mind turned to thoughts of suicide, but he was in mortal terror of death. "What will happen to me after I die" he wondered, "I who have done so much evil, will I be dammed for eternity?"
At this moment God interfered and miraculously spoke with him through Jeremiah 39:17-18 and from that day onwards he has peace in his heart and he left all his past and turned to Jesus Christ and serving Him as a humble servant. His testimony of God’s grace and forgiveness was a powerful story of miraculous mercy, fabulous favor and tremendous transformation.
