September 3, 2006 Worship Service
Our loving Father, we have come into this sanctuary as we have done so many times before, to worship you and praise you and exalt you in obedience to your word. We pray that you will enable us to keep our eyes focused on you, and for once learn to let go of the things which hold our attention. Our desire is to know you through your holy word and experience anew your spirit. Confirm our thoughts by your word and lead us to the path of worship and surrender.
We also come in confession that we have through ignorance, deliberation, or even without intention broken our covenant with you. But in spite of our failures, you remain faithful. Therefore Holy Father, forgive us. And according to your word cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Pour out your blessing upon us so that we may be one with you in mind, body and spirit. Make this time of worship a hallowed hour. We come in faith and submission to your will. Bless us now and make our lives a blessing to the glory of your name. This we pray in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen!
