Leader: But we are given God's blessing of salvation so that we might serve Christ. People: We are called to serve the Lord by caring and loving those around us. *Prayer Of Confession(Unison): Lord, so often we have not defended the poor or fed the hungry, instead we have focused on making our lives more comfortable. Lord, we have even allowed ourselves to think that if we are doing well the world is "just fine." Forgive us, Lord, and call us again to do battle against the inequities and injustices in the world today. In Christ we pray. Amen!
