*Prayer of Confession(in unison):

Heavenly Father, we gather together with joy and anticipation, thanking You for the past, for the challenges and the blessings and the opportunities.

Yet we realize that we have let many go by without even a thought of what You have called us to be and to do, although Your truth has come to us we have turned away from it, we have done our own things while we prayed that Your will be done, we have asked for chances to minister but in the end we could not go beyond ourselves. We asked for Your holy presence and power but failed to comply with Your holy Word, in our thought and action we have lived as though You were absent. Visit us with Your holy spirit, Your life giving Word and loving presence, so that we may transcend from petty self centeredness to the power of discipleship. Turn us from merely naming You to following You with devotion, turn our attention from all the cares and things of this world to worshipping You in the spirit and in truth.

In this holy hour remind us of Your awesome nature, recall Your blessings, and respond to Your call. Give us a new vision that transcends time, thoughts and us, grant that we may focus on the Lord Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Amen!
