Leader: Praise be to God, the gatekeeper has opened the door to the fold.

People: Jesus is the gate. Whoever enters by him will be saved.

Leader: Praise be to God, the shepherd has come to give us abundant life.

People: Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He calls us by name. He leads us day by day. He watches over us.

Leader: Listen for his voice. And rejoice in his care.

People: We know the voice of our Shepherd and we will follow him.

*Opening Prayer (in Unison) Gracious God - we give you thanks for the life you have given, and for the love you have poured out. We thank you for Christ Jesus our Shepherd who leads us to the waters that refresh and well up to eternal life. We thank you for the bread of heaven to earth come down that lifts us up to you in glory. Help us to praise and honor you and to worship you in truth and righteousness in this hour and all the days of our lives. Amen!
