About Rev. Dr. Livingston Gadde
Rev. Dr. Livingston Gadde, a mighty servant of God from India, has been rendering amazing service to the Telugu Christians worldwide, especially in Gulf countries. He commended his mission at Kuwait and expanded it to the entire Gulf countries by forming Telugu Christian Congregations and conducting Gulf Conferences for them. Now through the 'Global Telugu Christian Ministries' of which he is President, his work rapidly increased. Seeing his dedicated committed services, Telugu Christians allover the world affectionately call him Apostle.
Rev. Livingston is the Founder Pastor of Kuwait Telugu Christian Congregations. He was born on 21st January 1933 at Medikonduru village, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. He is the son of Mr. Gadde Solomon Paul and Mrs. Suvarthamma. After studying Inter Mediate, he completed X-ray Technician for six years from 1959 to 1965 at Kugler Hospital, Guntur.
Rev. Dr. Livingston married to Mrs. Sudha Livingston on 29th May 1956. He was an active member of the Church. In the year 1965, while working in the Kugler hospital at Guntur, Dr. Sarala Elisha counseled him and became a spiritual mother. She sowed the seed of faith in him saying that 'If you give your heart to God, He will use you like Apostle Paul'.
Rev. Dr. Livinston joined Bokaro Steel Plant and worked in their hospital as an X-ray technician. There on one Lent season, he fasted for 40 days and attended the prayer meetings held by Engineer C. Samuel for Christians in Bokaro Campus. In one of his sermons, he heard the Satan never attacks a person when he is fasting during the Lent but after the Lent, he doubly attacks him. Then Rev. Livingston realized that living a Christian doesn't merely mean to live a moral life but gives giving oneself to the Lord totally. This was the turning point in his life and became a radical and real Christian.
To his surprise, immediately after his conversion, he received an appointment letter from Kuwait. Before joining Bokaro Steel Plant, he had applied to many foreign companies abroad but no one responded at that time. Now he is very happy to get the appointment abroad at Kuwait but the thought that to start living luxurious life may drag him away from devoted spiritual life was bothering him. But when he was starting for Kuwait, Engineer C. Samuel warned him that 'You are going as a missionary and not to earn the money of Kuwait'. This comforted him greatly.
