About Dr. Jacob Prabhu
Dr. Jacob Prabhu was ordained in his Baptist Church in Secunderabad, India in 1983. He has earned the degree of Bachelor of Divinity from Somerset University in England. He served in the organization Training Evangelistic Leadership for 25 years.
Dr. Prabhu is an "itinerant evangelist", traveling across the land:

-- Leading Bible studies in the Book of Romans;
-- Writing books on various topics for Christian growth;
-- Singing inspirational songs;
-- Coordinating evangelistic meetings for other speakers.
Dr. Prabhu has written 26 books in Telugu. He has taught the discipleship course to over 1800 individuals in 86 churches. He has trained 28 evangelists in year-long programs. His ministry schedule has taken him to the countries of Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Netherlands, and the USA.
His family has five grown children, two daughters and a son are married, and another son and daughter who are single. The Prabhu family is blessed with three granddaughters and one grandson.
Teaching Seminars by Jacob Prabhu
1. Christ's Discipleship for Churches: Dr. Prabhu often visits churches to support the pastors by providing supplementary courses or seminars. He has designed a series of eight lessons. After each lesson, for 30 minutes, personal time is allowed for all participants to answer questions to test their knowledge. In these eight lessons, we have found that students learn how to grow in their spiritual lives. They are also encouraged to memorize two verses from the Bible for each lesson. For the entire seminar they will memorize 16 verses, which become food for their souls. So far 86 churches have enjoyed the seminar, including nearly 1800 participants.
2. Christian Leadership in Bible Colleges: The early church of the Book of Acts is our example of spiritual leadership and vitality. In order to help churches grow in this direction, a Seminar on Christian Leadership has been introduced in Bible colleges. All aspects of discipleship and leadership are taught, and this seminar is in demand all over India.
