*Prayer of Confession(in unison):

In the quietness of these moments we come to You, our loving heavenly Father, like children who enter the presence of the unknown, with halting steps and quiet wonder. For a while we have seen something of Your love and grace, power and presence in Jesus Christ, we still stand amazed before You and at times we are little fearful of You. This evening we pray that You will meet us in awe and wonder, dim our fears and let us experience the acceptance of Your unfailing love. We know that our fear comes because we have allowed our feet to carry us into avenues that are not in keeping with Your Spirit and Word. We have allowed our loyalties to become divided, we want to love the Lord our God with all our strength, mind and soul, but we also have fallen in love with the temporary and transient things of this world.

We seek correction, an altering of course, we seek forgiveness, extend Your holy hands toward us and by Your Spirit lift us up out of the mire we are in, remind us again that Jesus went to death for us and His sacrifice assures us of forgiveness and life. Let the morning dew of Your presence wash away the gathered dust of our errant journeys and bring us to the awesomeness of Your presence, in Jesus name. Amen!
