People: for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.

Leader: Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?

People: He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.

Leader: He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior.

People: Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob.

*Opening Prayer(in unison): Loving God, it is with a sense of gratitude and thanksgiving in our hearts we bow before You. We lift our voices in praise and worship You. We praise You for life and salvation, it is because of Jesus we are here boldly declaring that we are sinners saved by grace. There is nothing in us that is worthy of Your love yet You loved us to the extent that You willingly gave Your life for us. What can we give You except our hearts and our wills? We pray that Your spirit will set us free not only to worship You but also follow You in word and in action. Father we pray that You will give us the courage to trust Your word and not ourselves, lead us to the place of dependence on your promises, and living lives that reflect those promises. Help us to give up our selfish thoughts, ambitions and those things we aspire to be. Instead, bring us to the place of learning and understanding Your will. As we come to Your table this morning and receive the symbols of Your holy and blessed sacrifice, let Your precious blood cleanse our hearts, heal our bodies and minds, empower our spirits and strengthen our faith. In all Father transform us to be Your children, focused on your word, living in faith, and led by Your spirit. In Jesus name we pray . Amen!
