*Prayer of Confession(Unison):

O Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth or You had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God. A thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past and is a watch in the night. So teach us, o God to number our days. We contemplate that we are creatures of time, who will sooner or later come to the end of our life’s journey. Help us Lord as we live to know that everyday is a precious gift from You, never can it come again. We therefore pray for guidance in living each moment, each hour and day as good stewards of Your blessing and people bearing the name of Christ.

On this memorial Sunday we pause and realize that you have given us the freedom to seize the moment, enjoy life, and do good, in all of that helps us to remember that our days are numbered. We thank You for each life that is now completed and remember those who have gone on before. Accept our gratitude for them, their lives and their input to our community. Help us to live as witnesses, may Your Spirit deepen our faith, and may our works bear in them Your lordship in our lives, save us from dissension, gossip and mere works that bear no eternal value, but lead us to vision and a mission that is beyond our self interest, draw us together in a way that displays Your kingdom here on earth. Blessing and honor and glory are forever Yours in the name of Jesus. Amen!
