Leader: An oracle is within my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes.

People: For in his own eyes he flatters himself too much to detect or hate his sin.

Leader: The words of his mouth are wicked and deceitful; he has ceased to be wise and to do good.

People: Even on his bed he plots evil; he commits himself to a sinful course and does not reject what is wrong.

Leader: Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.

*Opening Prayer(in unison): Eternal God our loving Father, we bow before You and invite Your Holy Spirit to teach us to pray. We are aware that each one of us here are different, yet we are unique, as Your Word says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Help us to know that we are co-equals in Your sight. Our worth and importance comes from You and not from our background, our accomplishments, our popularity or anything we own. We confess that we have forgotten this. As a result we have bought into the values of this world. This has only led to exclusivism and division. Forgive us holy God and unite our hearts and minds to honor You, walk with You and exalt You with our words and actions. Teach us to love and express it in ways that glorify You. Help us Lord to invest in our children and our identity in You. Help us share our claim that we are a people of God. Help us share the good news that in Jesus there is forgiveness and salvation. As we worship You, bless our hearts and use us for the glory of God in Jesus. Amen!
