* Prayer of Confession(Unison): We pause in Your presence to thank You for the oasis that home and family provide. We thank You for the nurture of good parents and the openness of little children, and for the new adventures that come as we grow up. Give us the courage to respond to life so that we will live for purposes that strengthen family ties, not destroy them, build kingdom values, not tear them down, to provide sanctuaries according to Your Word for all those who are placed in our care-old or young. Grant this evening to all families, however they are defined, the ability to open our hearts to your loving guidance, Your Holy Word and the gentle Holy Spirit so that we may become all that You want us to be, with a greater determination to do Your will instead of seeking our selfish pursuits and stoking our egos. Lead us to the place of greater determination to live for You and serve others in Your name with love in our hearts and truth in our words and actions for the glory of Jesus our Lord & master, savior and friend. Amen!
