About Pastor Manoj Kumar Bhatt
Born in 1955 in an orthodox Gujarati Brahmin family. The family history goes back as a family of priests and educationists. Rev. Manoj was given the best of education and strict religious teachings. From a young age he was zealous of his gods, taking active part in all the rites and rituals of his religion and always wanting to get closer to his gods. He finished University and qualified as an engineer.

One day an argument turned into a fight and Manoj assaulted his wife Shan and that night they separated. That night all alone in a 12 bedroom mansion Manoj made an assessment of his life and came to a conclusion that he did not get anything in life except misery and failures, dissatisfaction and loneliness. The next morning Manoj decided to end his life. He left the house and was thinking of a way to kill himself. At that moment he met a woman whom he hated as she was a Christian. She happened to know Shan, so Manoj stopped her and told her to inform Shan that he was putting an end to his life, and that she should not worry about him any more. She said that she would pass on the message and that he could put an end to his life if he wanted, but before that he should invite Jesus into his heart as Jesus loves him and had died for him. At the name of Jesus Manoj was furious and started strangling the woman, he would have killed her but let her go, but swore at her and Jesus and then ran from there.

Rev. Manoj’s new birth was on the 7th Jan 1984. When he got back home he began reading the Bible and found God and His love. The next day he made a covenant to Jesus that now on he would live for Him and Him alone would he serve. About a month later Rev. Manoj was baptised in water. After another month or so he met Shan and they got back together in a miraculous way. Seeing the change in Rev. Manoj’s life, Shan also gave her heart to the Lord and took baptism and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. They began serving the Lord and life was wonderful. Then came satan in the form of their society threatening them with their life, demanding them to give up Christ. They were led by the Lord to leave the city and dwell in villages in hiding, in huts. Yet they had peace for they had Jesus with them. In the hut without electricity, in the light of a small oil lamp both of them studied the Scriptures and began claiming the promises of God. Since 1988 till 1994, Rev. Manoj has spent totally 9 days and nights in prison on four occasions, beaten with clubs and cane and knife blades, stabbed by a knife on one occasion while preaching at a Crusade. Once his car was stoned by some people in a village. Had electricity cut-off on several occasions at his house in India. Water supply stopped at his home several times. All this just because they love JESUS.

The Lord took him to various Bible Colleges as a Bible teacher, such as Tungling Bible College at Singapore, A.P.T.S. at Philippines, Ecclesia Bible College at Hong Kong. Then the Lord brought Rev. Manoj on Television in the U.S.A. and U.K., On the Radio in India, United Kingdom and the U.S.A., On Platforms where in a single meeting over 400,000 people have heard the Gospel. In the history of U.A.E. there has only been two occasions when any one has preached the Gospel in an open-air meeting before 1993 and the Lord used Rev. Manoj for three evenings where over 12 thousand people came each evening and the Lord performed signs wonders and miracles.
