Teen Bible Quiz (TBQ) – Northeast Regional Finals

On May 3rd and 4th, the Regional Finals took place at the Crosspoint Community Cathedral in East Hartford, Connecticut. Our UECF Church proudly sent a team to compete in this crucial season-ending event for our church. As previously mentioned, the Teen Bible Quiz (TBQ) conducts three different leagues: XP5, Contender, and Championship. Kids must learn and memorize the following content for respective leagues to compete

• Championship: All chapters in Romans and James.
• XP5: Romans chapters 8 and 12, as well as all chapters in James.
• Contender: Romans chapters 1-8, 12-14, and all chapters in James.

UECF church participated in two of these leagues this season: XP5 and Contender.

• The XP5 league concluded with the District Finals. In New Jersey District Finals kids from different churches within New Jersey Compete against each other. Our XP5 kids—Rohan Muthyala, Samrudh Gant, and Shiran Rapakka—performed exceptionally well in the district final, earning them the title of District champions in the XP5 league.
• Our Contender League’s season concluded with the Northeast regional finals. In this region, the top four teams from each of the following districts—New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Virginia—competed. Throughout the entire season, six kids from our church (Andrew Vellore, Ashriel Vellore, Bessy Devi, Maliha Shaik, and Viraj Sandela) participated in the Contender League. Once again, by the grace of god and his divine favor, our Contender League kids excelled in the regionals.

We hope and pray that one day we can send our children to the National Finals in TBQ. It warms our hearts to see the kids already discussing their plans and the studies for the upcoming TBQ 24-25 Season.

Praise to the risen King

On April 27th, the Regional Finals unfolded at the Word of Life Church in Springfield, Virginia. Our UECF Church proudly dispatched two teams to compete in this crucial event.

• UECF Slingshots Knights, having already secured a direct qualification to Nationals as the New Jersey district champions, could have bypassed the regionals. However, we deliberately chose to have them participate for valuable practice.
• Our other team, UECF Slingshots Titans (formerly known as UECF Slingshots Shining Stars), had placed fourth in the NJ district finals. Their performance in the regionals would determine their eligibility for Nationals.

By divine favor, the UECF Slingshots Titans Team excelled in the regionals for they were unbeaten as they won all their matches, ensuring that both of our UECF Slingshot teams secured a spot in the upcoming Nationals, scheduled for June 7th-8th in Griffin, Georgia.

Reflecting on our journey, when the JBQ season commenced back in September, our objectives were clear: send both of our Master teams to Nationals and secure at least one of our Achiever teams a top-three position in the district finals. Through divine providence, we achieved all our goals—the Masters are now set for Nationals, and one of our Achiever teams emerged as runners-up in district finals.
