He served as Reader in English in Andhra Lutheran College of Education and Andhra Christian College for about 35 years. He had his higher education for three years in London, UK sponsored by the Lutheran World Federation and his family joined him in his third year. He worked abroad for some time working in Nigeria and Malta. Mrs. & Dr. Moodey are blessed with four children- all settled and married, three in the US and one in Canada.
In parallel to his teaching career, Dr. Moodey has always been interested and been involved in preaching the word of God. He has been engaged in various activities such as youth work, Sunday School teaching, Bible Society of India, The Gideons International and Choir conducting in churches and Crusades.
He has been co-ministering three Gethsemane Prayer Fellowships in Guntur majority members of which are Hindu converts.
He is also actively engaged in rural evangelism spearheaded by Andhra Lutheran Evangelical Revival Forum. It is a laymen’s organization catering to the spiritual and financial needs of the congregations in the villages for about twenty years. They go to the villages by teams of 5/6 members, three days a week, during night times and conduct revival meetings. By God’s grace, the ministry is going on very well strengthening the rural congregations. The AELR Forum thanks the members of the UECF for their prayerful support all along.
