Heavenly Father, holy King, sovereign Lord, we have come once again into your holy sanctuary to call upon your holy name to repent our past sins and to receive your Word and to respond it in faith. We have come to be cleansed as we repent our sins both great and small. Lord you know our hearts and minds and your Word reminds us that you know the secrets of our innermost parts. So we confess that we have sinned in many ways, our thoughts, our actions and our words have strayed away from your word and often times we have behaved as if you were not with us.

Forgive us dear God and cleanse us of all unrighteousness so that we may come in the purity of our spirit and in faith and worship you. Let your spirit come into our lives and situations, convict us and empower us to live our lives for you. Be with us as we worship you, touch our hearts and set our minds free of all those things which grip us. We give you praise and glory and honor in the name of Jesus. Amen!
