Most gracious and loving God, you who have swallowed up

death with the resurrection of Christ Jesus, we lift our hearts to you in praise this blessed morning. We celebrate the Good News revealed by the stone that was rolled away and the tomb that was empty -- that news which was confirmed by angels and by Christ Jesus himself as he appeared to his disciples and followers. We thank you Lord for the miracle of this day and for how it gives to your people a sure and eternal hope.. Be with us, we pray, in this holy celebration and lead us in the path of righteousness. We ask it through your Son, Christ Jesus our Lord, who conquered the grave and by your grace rules over both the living and the dead, who has taught us to pray..(The Lord’s Prayer)
